The Kasumi Class is Modelwerks' own retro-futuristic take on the Akira Class, reimagined as though its sleek, aggressive design had been developed during the TOS and movie eras. The result is a unique Federation starship that blends the unmistakable proportions and mission-oriented layout of the Akira with the classic curves, detailing, and aesthetic of 23rd-century Starfleet.
The Kasumi class isn't simply an Akira with a few details changed. We've completely reworked the design to create something that feels at home alongside the Constitution, Excelsior, and other classic-era Federation vessels, while still retaining the Akira's distinctive character. The compact profile, prominent saucer, powerful nacelles, and forward-focused engineering give the Kasumi a rugged, purposeful appearance—like a Starfleet design that was built to get the job done rather than win a beauty contest.
